We are seeking a dynamic Head of Client Accounting to oversee the accounting services we provide to our clients, including international companies, trusts, and foundations. The successful candidate will lead a team of accountants, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all client-related accounting processes. This is a key leadership role within the firm, requiring technical expertise, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the client accounting department, providing guidance, training, and support to the team.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and VAT/VIES reports for international clients.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and other relevant laws in Cyprus and internationally.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies, ensuring timely submission of statutory filings.
- Monitor and maintain client accounts, ensuring accuracy in all financial reporting and record-keeping.
- Work closely with other departments, such as compliance and corporate administration, to streamline processes and ensure a cohesive approach to client service delivery.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficient workflows within the accounting department.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on accounting matters.
- Manage the department’s performance metrics, including budgeting, reporting, and resource allocation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Experience in a client accounting role, preferably within a corporate service provider or financial services firm.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Cypriot tax regulations, and corporate law.
- Experience managing a team and delivering high-quality accounting services to international clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
- Fluent in English and Greek
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
